The Daily Grind

 Proverbs 16:3

Commit your actions to the LORD and your plans will succeed

There are times in everyone’s life where it just seems too routine. You wake up, have some coffee, go to work, come home, eat dinner, watch TV and go to bed only to wake up the next day and do it all over again. But even in the routine you can serve God. As the Proverb states, if you commit each action to God, your plans will come to fruition.

All plans, big and small, start and end with God. You can try to do it all yourself or invite God into each routine task. God knows that most lives are lived in the daily grind and He wants to join us in that process. By dedicating each day no matter how routine to God, you are acknowledging that you need God in every aspect of your life.

So, thank God each day for the opportunity to serve Him with your daily life. Do your best each day, even in the mundane aspects of your life. Yes, you can honor God by how you go about doing the laundry, making dinner, helping your kids with their homework and mowing the lawn.

Commit your actions to God and your life will be anything but routine.
