Animal Magnetism

Genesis 1

Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind”; and it was so.  God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

For Catholics, October 4th is the feast of St Francis of Assisi. St Francis is one of the most revered saints in the Church,  and he also is known for his love of animals.

What would our world be without animals? We take these wonderful creatures for granted every day. God provided animals for our use, for our food and for our companionship. I don’t know what I would do without my doxie Charlie in my life!

We should thank God for the animals that He provides to us to make our life here on Earth easier and more fulfilled. No matter what an animal actually looks like, each one is a creation from Our God and Father. Each one has a role to play and each one is as unique as every human is.

God, thank You for the gifts of the animals. They make our lives better and happier. They provide us with food and assist us each day in our work. Animals are essential to each of us.  You always know what we need and we thank You.
